Ok i have to confess im starting to be obsessed with Frank Ocean, i am listening to his album "Nostalgia,ultra" on and on, each song is worth it, but this could be my favourite one. But check all the other songs, you won't regreat it, amazing r&b,hip hop...

-THE WEEKND " The Knowing"
The Weeknd, is also one of my new discoveries, props to Flavio again, i love the atmosphera that the band creates on each song, plus also the video is worth seeing, you going to enjoy this one.

-THE XX "Crystalised"
I heard that they will be playing in Barcelona soon with Jamie Woon, thinking about maybe going to see them alive. Interesting band, nice tunes, great voice...perfect soundtrack for when im working.

NEW UPDATES...BJJ & MY BIRTHDAY

Hey there, it's been a while since i posted here, i know...im taking my time, hehe...So im back with few updates for y'all.

As you may know last November 5th it was my birthday, and how did i celebrate it??party?not yet...went to Madrid for a bjj competition, my first one as a purple belt, and i am very happy to say that i won my weightclass (superheavy, one less than the last time and keep going down!). I fought against a good friend of mine from North of Spain, big and super strong guy...we had fought several times in the past, and he always beat me, but this time i did a more strategic fight...and i got the victory by points.

It was lot of fun to hang out there with my team mates and other friends from other teams from around Spain...big shout out to people like Quiñones, Alfredo, Echedey, Herminio and lots more.. that was a good bday present.

So im posting my fight and few cool pics from the tournament, called Copa Buddha Sport.

EUROPEAN BJJ CHAMPIONSHIP IN LISBON

Last month i went to Lisbon for their anual European Bjj Championship, probably the most important tornament in Europe with the biggest names and the higher level on the mats. I have to say it was an amazing experience, thank to my team mates, friends and specially to Yan Cabral, my master.

We went there and did a great perfomance, gold medals for our girls in the team and im super happy to share with you guys that i got my first Bronze Medal, i made 3rd in an important tournament such is this one. I made it 3rd on my Blue belt weightclass in the Master division.

I did 5 fights in total, felt great on the mat, calm and alive, choked some dudes out and lost by points to a friend. So its a new big step for me and my brazilian jiu jitsu "career"... some pics from Lisbon.

Last week i had the pleasure to go to the Skunk Anansie`s show, here in Barcelona. It was a birthday present from a good friend who bought the tickets long time ago. Oh man!! the show was amazing, Skin's voice is unreal, and intense non stop show that made all the crowd crazy and you could feel the amazing vibe.

If you don't know the band i suggest you to check them out right now...it's not a new band, i liked them back in the 90's but i even like them more now. Their new album is beyond solid, every single song is worth it.

Ok more updates...as i said before lots of different things have happened, first of all i got fired, so i lost my job, due to this fucking crisis situation that it's killing all of us realy slowly, choking us all. So right now im at some tought personal moment, struggleling with my old job, fighting to get paid some fair money...but this is taking longer that i expected and isnt helping my concentration and focus on my final project that i definlty need to finnish asap!! but right now i need some air, probably some security also, so i can re-focus again on my project and open all those doors that are waiting for me somewhere, everywhere..
In the other hand, the good news are that i lost almost 10 kg...and im finally under the psychology barrier of the 100kg ...i was 99.5 kg this morning and keep going down until i get to 90kg. That means that for my next championship in Lisbon, the European one i will be 2 categories below i used to be, hopefuly i will become a lightheavyweight...step by step...

Anyway, i wanted to dedicated this post to someone who use to be my MasterPiece, we got separate paths, but still close to me somehow... becuase this weekend in Barcelona there are somoe good shows, special ones for Masterpiece as on Saturday is 30 seconds to Mars playing in Palau Sant Jordi club and on Sunday is La Mala Rodriguez ,in sala Apolo, another special show for sure...unfortunately i won't be here this weekend as im flying tomorrow Friday, to London , visiting my irish and british family as my cousin Dom is getting married in Wimbeldon....good luck with that one Dom!

Hey everyone...it's been time again since the last time i updated this blog! well a lot has been going on these past months...not all good but i will telling you little by little.
I am posting a video from my firts fight the I Open Aranha done like a month ago, were i actually did a good fight, ending with a side lapel choke, one of my favourite submissions...but the best from the fight was the way i felt, i was able to get the takedown, pass guard, and did some good transitions from mount to triangle choke to omoplata and ending up getting the back of my oponent... so pretty happy of that.
Moreover, this good feeling and work it wouldn't be possible without my great team mates and my Master Yan Cabral...thank you all!!

i do have my special plant too, they remind me someone special, some Masterpiece i have on my life...mines are called Guzmanias. Funny name but an awesome indoor plant that can be a 1meter tall with different colors.

I love trainning!!i really do!!
its probably one of the few things right now that make me feel real good and happy!So im focus on that right now, gotta keep it harder and soon take it to a new level...but so far i coulndt be happier and proud of trainning with such a MMA team, good guys, aweseme fighters, techinical and most important most of them i consider them close friends!!

As this is the fighting week post im gonna show you 2 great videos!! One is a combination of ground technique how you go to a Omoplata but you fake it to change to a posible Gogoplata or even if that doesnt work you go to a Kimura or even an Americana lock....damn this move is complete

Monday afertoon...finally after a week not feeling good im back on track, working, class and obviously trainning....but this time we had the visit from my good friend Jade from Ases bjj Academy from Valencia. It was great to have him here and be able to roll and traing with such a good fighter!!We hope to see him back soon again and wish him the very best for his trip to Brazil!!see you in the tatami soon homie.

how was my summer?
I didnt do that much this summer part from working a little bit, then i was free and i just chilled and tried to relax as much as possible...hehe, lazy?yeah, probably!But i did two trips, ieperfest was the first one and a family trip was gonna happen no matter what...eventhough im not a big fan of these ones, but in the end was more fun than i expected and had a good time...

its been a while since my last update but i was enjoying my summertime, chillin', relaxin' and also partying a little bit!
Summertime is over, so now its time to go back to our daily reality: that means WORK, finnish my final project and get my fucking degree becoming an Architect, go back training, harder and harder...

Taking LEDs he installs them undernearth scuptural assets fixed to the wall board and designed to look as though the wall board is peeling, waving or similary unexpected feats.

An interesting idea of this concept is that you can use the corners as "seams". It gives the effect that the walls are made of fabric, making the space feel much lighter and open even thought not a single inch has been added to the space.

Tinker Hatfield is an architect who started working at Nike designing showrooms, and ended up being VP of design. He was behind the design of the now classic Air Max shoes. On this short interview he tells how the Pompidou Centre by Renzo Piano influencied his shoe design, in terms of exposed systems and color.

For me, beiong almost and architect and loving sneakers, specially the air max model, makes me think how cool it is to combine both worlds...so how good would be to be a good architect and also desing "the model" for a brand like nike, huh??
Well Tinker Hatfield did it, the rest is history...hehe, let's say he become a good inspiration for me.

The double arm bar attack from cross sight its a very common position and looks pretty simple to do and gives your a better game.The main goal in submission is always to get the tap out from any position but having a double attack in one, or at least as many options that any situation has. Thats the greatness in this art...

Yeah i got some new sneakers from Trustnobody last weekend and i couldnt be more excited about those beauties. Its obviously the nike air max 90 model, probably the best model ever made in my sincere opinion.
Anyways,i got the new Air Max 90 Current, the new hybrid version from the most popular infrared model, i can only think about AWESOMENESS!!very confy and you can get better than that!

The other new babies are this other Air Max 90 leather (rustic/navy/sandrift), a new classic!cant wait to wear those too.

MUNICH-PRAGUE TRIP REPORT: DAY 2

So before the day was over we went to Baviera to spend the night becase the factory we were going to visit was next to the city. We stayed at a small town rustic hotel, actually pretty nice and confortable. Moreover, after most of the day in the AMF factory we went back to the bus straight to Prague.

The next day we went to AMF's factory. This the real reason why we got a free ticket, to get to know better their product, know how they do it but for obvious secret industry code i wasnt allowed to take pictures inside the factory. But i could take pics from the Forum

After lunch back to the bus....Prague here we go!!but we slept again!!

Last week i went for a few days to Munich and Prague due some work issues for free. I had a good time with few of my coworkers, discovered Munich and the beautiful city of Prague. Hey there!its been a while since i did my last post but it has been a really crazy and good week.Bread and Butter arrived to Barcelona once again and you know what that means...crazyness everywhere, "cool people", lots of parties, lots of show rooms and bla bla...actualy, means lot of work behind the scene!!
Anyways i missed most of it as i had a free trip to Munich and Prague with some of my coworkers to visit the AMF workhouse and it was an awesome trip, with great weather, some funny stories and good memories...did i say it was all free!!??

Boston's 39-point win surpassed the NBA record for the biggest margin of victory in a championship clincher; the Celtics beat the Lakers 129-96 in Game 5 of the 1965 NBA Finals.
In the final minute, Pierce doused Celtics coach Doc Rivers with red Gatorade. Owner Wyc Grousbeck, who named his group Banner 17 to leave no doubt about his goal, put an unlit cigar in his mouth - a tribute to Auerbach, the patriarch who had a hand in the franchise's first 16 titles.
Garnett dropped to the parquet and kissed the leprechaun at center court and then found Russell, the Hall of Famer who taught him the Celtic way, for a long embrace.
"I got my own. I got my own,'' Garnett said. "I hope we made you proud.''
"You sure did,'' Russell said.
Rivers pulled Pierce, Garnett and Allen with 4:01 left and they shared a group hug with their coach, who was nearly run out of town last season. Rivers lost his father at the beginning of this remarkable run, a season no one expected.
By the time Rivers was handed the Larry O'Brien Trophy, it was June 18 - his late father's birthday.
When the game clock reached zeros, Rivers reflected on his dad.
"My first thought was what would my dad say,'' Rivers said, "and honestly I started laughing because I thought he would probably say, if you knew my dad, `It's about time. What have you been waiting for?'''
It's was Boston's first title since the passing of Auerbach, whose presence was the only thing missing on this night. Even Auerbach, who died in 2006, got some satisfaction. Led by Rivers, Auerbach's beloved team denied Lakers coach Phil Jackson from overtaking him with a 10th championship.
The Boston-Los Angeles rivalry, nothing more than black-and-white footage from the 60s and TV highlights of players wearing short shorts in the 80s to young hoops fans, remains tilted toward the Atlantic Ocean. The Celtics are 9-2 against the Lakers in the finals.
Boston missed its first crack at closing out the series in Game 5, but the Celtics didn't miss on their second swing, running the Lakers out of the gym.
Bryant, the regular season MVP, finished with 22 points on 7-of-22 shooting.
He started 4-of-5 from the field and seemed intent on forcing a Game 7. But he missed seven shots in a row and everywhere he went, L.A.'s No. 24 ran smack into a wall of Boston defense as high as the Green Monster.
"They were definitely the best defense I've seen the entire playoffs,'' Bryant said. "I've seen some pretty stiff ones and this was right up there with them. The goal was to win a championship, it wasn't to win MVP or anything like that, it was to win a championship.''
Garnett and Allen were All-Stars in other cities, stuck in Minnesota and Seattle, respectively, on teams going nowhere. But brought together in trades last summer by Celtics general manager Danny Ainge, a member of the '86 Celtics champions, they joined Pierce and formed an unbreakable bond, a trio as tight as the club's lucky shamrock logo.
They resisted being called The Big Three, a nickname given to Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish two decades ago.
"This is the reason we came here,'' Garnett said. "This is the reason we got together, and Danny made it go down. This is it right now.''
With Garnett scoring 17 points and Pierce adding 10, Boston built a 58-35 halftime lead, and unlike Game 2 when they let the Lakers trim a 24-point lead to two in the fourth quarter before recovering, the Celtics never stopped.
They pushed their lead to 31 in the third, and with Boston still up by 29 after three, plastic sheets started going up in the Celtics' locker room in preparation for a champagne celebration.
No team had to work harder for a championship than these Celtics, who were playing in their record 26th postseason game after being pushed to seven games by Atlanta and Cleveland before taking care of Detroit in six to win the Eastern Conference title.
They entered Game 6 slowed by injuries as Pierce, Kendrick Perkins (shoulder) and Rondo (ankle) were less than 100 percent. There was also uncertainty surrounding Allen, who stayed behind in Los Angeles following Game 5 after his youngest son became ill and was diagnosed with diabetes. The Celtics needed three planes to get back from L.A. and didn't get home until late Monday night.
But there were no excuses, and just as they had while winning 66 games during the regular season, the Celtics got plenty of help from their bench as P.J. Brown, James Posey, Leon Powe and rookie Glen "Big Baby'' Davis came in and contributed.
It was a group effort by this gang in green, which bonded behind Rivers, who borrowed an African word ubuntu (pronounced Ooh-BOON-too) and roughly means "I am, because we are'' in English, as the Celtics' unifying team motto.
The Celtics gave the Lakers a 12-minute crash course of ubuntu in the second quarter.
Boston outscored Los Angeles 34-19, getting 11 field goals on 11 assists. The Celtics toyed with the Lakers, outworking the Western Conference's best inside and out and showing the same kind of heart that made Boston the center of pro basketball's universe in the '60s.
House and Posey made 3-pointers to put the Celtics ahead by 12 points and baskets by Pierce, Garnett and Rondo put Boston ahead by 18.
In the final minute, Garnett floated in the lane, banked in a one-handed runner and was fouled. His free throw made it 56-35, and after Perkins scored, the Celtics ran to the locker room leading by 23.
On his way off the floor, Garnett screamed, "That's that.''
And so it was.

Yeaaah!!im super happy, after almost a year and half training brazilian jiujitsu now ive been promoted and ive been given the blue belt from my Master bjj 6th degree black belt Chen Moraes (Anaconda barcelona fight club ) with also the help of our instructor,black belt Álex Delgado. Thank you for all the help and encourgement during this time and all my friends in the academy...

Delicious blackberry on my mind. After a long and stressful week i got an awesome feeling about Blackberries. So exotic, silly, messy but so good at the same time!
I can have them for breakfast as delicious jam on crunchy toast...o even better as a fresh cold dessert as blackberry cheesecake...mmmmm!delicious!
The blackberry its like a glamorouse lady with two sides, the red one, pure passion and the black one all irony and crazyness...so why chosoe one when you know you want both sides!hehe...

There’s nothing more exciting for an architect than to shape the form of his own city with a new building. And that’s what Rem Koolhaas is about to do in Rotterdam with a large scale mixed use building. Also, a project developed for The Hague, also in the Netherlands, will start construction as of next year. Site visits will be closer to the central OMA headquarters this time.
First, we’ve got a 120.000m2 (30.000m2 for retail, 70.000m2 for office, residential, culture and leisure) mixed use building in the Rotterdam’s shopping district, the Coolsingel. This district is actually the true centre of Rotterdam, where the most important streets in Rotterdam merge (Coolsingel, Lijbaan, Binnenweg and Beurstraverse).

This design doesn’t compete for height, but aims to change the identity of the city centre by inserting the pure form of a cube into existing buildings. Voids within the cube introduce configurations that bring daylight into the cube whilst providing views to the surroundings.

The open space of the site is a courtyard surrounded by architectural monuments including the building of financial institution, ABN-AMRO, an impressive bank building that was the first to be erected in the city center after World War II.

The base of the cube will consist of 5 floors of retail space and within these floors connections are made to the streets of Lijnbaan, Binnenwegplein, Coolsingel, Beurstraverse, with the potential to connect to an existing underground station. Parking for both residents and offices will be situated below the retail floors.

Public program such as restaurants, exhibition and media spaces are located in the middle and top floors of the cube. From these floors the public will overlook the entire Rotterdam area. The biggest challenge of attracting the public to travel upwards within the building is resolved through the use of slanted public elevators that stop at selected few floors.

Energy-efficient concepts play an integral role in the development of the design with close collaboration with energy consultant to optimize the daylight condition and energy use inside the building.

This building is scheduled to begin construction in 2011, opening in 2013.

Here we have the first single and video..Everybody was excited for this one and to be honest my first impression wasnt that good, i guess i expected something better, stronger or different but the truth is that after watching the videoclip i didnt feel it was that special neither the song or the video...damn it! but few days after i was listening to the song over and over again and it got deep inside me!!
This "Everybody nose" song is one of those that u need to give some time until u get confortable with it until it pop's up and gets you deep into it...and now i really like it!

Yesterday P.E.T.A realesed their new advertaisment campaign in Spain with well known spanish singer Alaska. The poster shows her naked posing as she was injured as the bulls in a bullfight.
If you ask me, i would say i like the poster but im not sure if its going to work as a campaign against the cruelty involved in bullfights or just a "personal campaign" for Alaska...anyways a good initiative.
